I was always interested in the area of Intersection of Computation and Cognition. I found that research similar to my field was going on at the Northwestern University and enrolled for a doctorate program there. I completed my PhD Dissertation, titled Commonsense Reasoning for Alleviating the Knowledge Brittleness Bottleneck, in 2007. My advisor was Professor Kenneth D. Forbus, a fantastic person who has also published extensively.
I had completed M.S. in Computer Science at Northwestern University. There were no problems when I enrolled for my PhD at the same department.
I was awarded the Institute for the Learning Sciences Fellowship by the University, 1999-2000.
The research facilities were remarkable in the university. I had the opportunity to publish papers and work on various research projects like BotE-Solver, CARVE, newspiQue, ATTEXT, Watchtower/Argus and QSA. It was a very good learning experience.
I was an Instructor at the Northwestern University during Fall 2004. I designed and taught CogSci 207. I also worked as a Research Assistant in the Qualitative Reasoning Group at the university.
Nằm trong Illinois.
