Liberty University was formed in 1971 and is based in Lynchburg, Virginia. The university has an enrollment of over 11,300 students in its regular programs and around 24,000 in distance learning programs. It is a private university that offers over 71 majors and masters in Philosophy, Music Ministry, Nursing, English, Religion, Business and Criminal Justice. The university offers undergraduate and graduate residential and online programs. Programs are offered via the School of Engineering and Computational Sciences, the School of Law and the Baptist Theological Seminary.
